Contributor agreement
Last updated October 12, 2026. Version 1.
This agreement applies to everyone who applies to share on Wel-Tea, and to everyone who manages a contributor profile.
Honest applications and labels
- The information in your application is true and up to date. Licensed professionals keep their licence in good standing and tell the team if anything changes.
- You accept the label the team gives your profile. Lived experience is shared as lived experience, never as professional advice.
- Keep your name, title, workplace and website accurate. A new name, title, workplace, website or photo shows once the team approves it, unless the team lets your profile publish without review. The team can always correct them.
- Your profile photo is of you, or your organization’s logo, and doesn’t show anyone else without their permission.
Your videos and supports
- You only share videos you have the rights and permission to share, and everyone who appears in them agreed to be shown.
- Wel-Tea doesn’t host your videos: it shows them from YouTube, Vimeo or TikTok. You keep ownership of your content, and you allow Wel-Tea to show and link to it on Wel-Tea.
- Your content is accurate, respectful and safe. It doesn’t give individual diagnoses or treatment plans, promise results, or advertise products or paid services.
- Add a content notice when a video talks about something that might be hard to hear, such as violence or self-harm.
- Tips you add to a video are short and general: wellness, therapy, legal or health information, or what helped you. They aren’t advice for a viewer’s own situation. Wel-Tea shows them with a note saying so, and reviews them with the video.
- Never share anyone’s private information, including clients’ or service users’ stories that could identify them.
Review and removal
- The Wel-Tea team reviews every video and support before it’s published, and may ask for changes or decline it.
- The team may unpublish content, or suspend or remove a profile, if it breaks this agreement or puts anyone’s safety at risk.
- If the team lets your profile publish without review, your videos, supports and profile changes (including your photo) go live straight away. You’re responsible for checking they follow this agreement, and the team can still unpublish or correct them, or switch this off.
- The Master Admin can delete any profile, video or support that breaks this agreement.
- You can unpublish or delete your own videos and supports, your profile, or your whole account at any time.
Hearts and statistics
Views, watch time, hearts and feelings for your videos are shown publicly, with each video and on your profile. Nobody, including you, can see who watched, who gave a heart or who chose a feeling. Heart totals are not shown for topics the team marks sensitive.
Your information
The privacy notice explains how Wel-Tea uses the information in your application.
Changes
If this agreement changes, the version and date at the top will change, and contributors may be asked to agree again.
